Cook Smart, Eat Smart: 4-week Healthier Eating Series

Are you looking for a short series to teach you how to plan and prepare more balanced, healthier meals? 

Join us for this 4-week cooking and balanced eating series. All recipes are heart-healthy and safe for those looking to better manage conditions such as diabetes and hypertension through better nutritional choices. Learn knife skills, meal preparation, meal planning, smart shopping on a budget, and much more! 

This series will meet on Monday nights at the Johnston Ag Center for 4 weeks, beginning March 9th and concluding March 30th. Each session will be held from 5:30p-7:30p. There is a $25 fee to register (fee includes all four sessions) with a tasting at the end of each session. Registration details in link below.

Meal Prep 101
Do you need help getting meals on the table, eating home-prepared meals more often, or saving time when it comes to food preparation? 
This workshop is for you! Learn tips and tricks to meal planning, shopping, and preparing foods to help save you time, money, and eat healthier. Participants will get hands-on experience preparing recipes. There will be a food tasting at the conclusion of the workshop, yum! This 2-hour workshop will be held on March 2nd from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Johnston Ag Center (2736 NC 210 Hwy, Smithfield). There is a $15 fee to attend. Registration details in link below.
