West Johnston Food Pantry Update
Our partners at West Johnston Food Pantry will be reopening soon and needs your help! Below is a list of critical needs you can drop off at WMPC at your convenience by the glass door next to the parking lot:
2020 Mission: Food for Students during this crisis
Our coordinators for Backpack Buddies have organized ways to distribute the food items to students at McGee’s Crossroads Elementary and Dixon Road Elementary. Food donations for this need have increased due to the school system being closed. Please leave those items in the Joy Class Sunday School Room. The West Johnston Food Pantry is also in greater need of donations and those items can be left in the Library at church.
JCPS
is currently putting together a food bus system to get food into the
areas of highest need for their students. They have also set up curbside
grab & go meals for students & siblings 0-18 at 13 different
schools.
Johnston
County Public Schools is looking for volunteers to help with
distribution/donations/etc. You can use this form to sign up/see more
about what ways you can give and JCPS will be in contact with you. linked district volunteer
If
you wish for your donations to be picked up from your home please leave
a message on the church email and arrangements will be made.
Thank you for your generosity in this time of need.
