2019 Souper Bowl Sunday

With the cold snap due this week, keep our West Johnston Food Pantry in mind – while you’re out and about this week, pick up cans of chicken noodle and tomato soups to donate to warm people this winter. Cans can be dropped off at WMPC at our back door anytime this week, during the week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 9-12, or on Sunday February 3, 2019 during Sunday School at 9:30 or at 10:30 service.

Baptism of the Lord

We had a guest speaker today:  Dr. Joseph Ward is recently retired and lives in Raleigh.  He has served as pastor of PCUSA congregations in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and both Raleigh and Warsaw NC.  He and his wife susan have four adult children; two live in the Raleigh area and two in other states.  A favorite area of study and publication is Jewish roots of Christianity and the person of Jesus.  This has led him into several joint studies and speaking engagements in synagogues as well as three visits to the land of Israel/Palestine.  We thank him for joining us today!
