Thank you to all for a wonderful homecoming, full of fellowship, worship, and great music!
Hello Church Family,
Anniversaries, homecomings and Churches have a long tradition in our community of faith. White Memorial Presbyterian Church will be celebrating its 74th this year. We will gather together to commemorate the church’s anniversary, honoring our members, both past and present, while encouraging those who have moved away to return home for a reunion.
Our homecoming this year will include preaching from a past Pastor, Rev. Ron Mcmenamin, with prayer and singing followed by a wonderful dinner and music in the fellowship hall. We’ll have tables set up; traditional dishes that will include fried chicken, ham, potato salad, green beans with fat back, deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, cornbread and plenty of pies; cobblers and cakes.
Many families who will gather for this reunion will take the opportunity to visit other family and tend to graves. This is also a wonderful time for honor, reflection and remembrance.
I encourage us all to share in this invitation to come home. Come home to remember those wonderful saints that came before us and celebrate our time together with the wonderful saints that are amongst us.
You and your families are respectfully invited to attend White Memorial Presbyterian Churches homecoming his year on October 15th. The worship service is at 10:30 followed by our gathering in the fellowship hall. I look forward to seeing you then.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Ed
